This workshop can be booked as an extension to the Mask Making workshop or as its own separate workshop, if there are masks available to be used.
It is an introduction to the acting part of working with masks. There will be an in depth walk through of every archetype from Commedia dell’Arte, the technique of how to play in the mask and character development. The focus is to find the body language, gestures and voice which supports the mask and makes it live.
A workshop in both Mask Making and Commedia dell’Arte needs a period of at least eight to ten days.
A workshop in only Commedia dell’Arte can last from a couple of hours to several days, all depending on the desired outcome.
The workshop can be organized aiming the specific group of interest: children, youth or adults.
